Today, I recieved my grades. What a relief to know that i will graduate with an MA in January. Not only am i happy to graduate, but thrilled to be graduating with distinction! As it turns out, two years of not having a life can pay off.

it feels really great to be finished. At first, i wasn't sure what to do with all the freetime, but i'm rediscovering the joys of a quiet evening lounging around the fireplace.

33. I hear this is the year of maturity. we'll see. I had a lovely evening with a few of my favorite girl friends making jewlery and eating the most wonderful munchies. the loveliness of simplicity.

Walking in the door of my mom's house, i found her on the floor. She looked up at me with a smile and says, "I've fallen and i can't get up". Her back had gone out earlier that day and she hadn't been able to move. It was too painful to lift her, so we rolled her on a blanket and slid her across the house to her bedroom. Amazingly, we giggled the whole time. She really is the most amazing woman i know. Before i left, she was able to hobble around the house. I hear she is walking around the block now. I'm so proud of my mom. The legacy of "chainsaw millie" lives on!

This year our family decided to play the white elephant game with food items. It was suprisingly fun. I ended up stealing Alex's mochi-YUM! Fiddle faddle?? hmm. I forgot to take many pictures while home. It was good just to be with the family.
