Babe Glasses

geriatric glasses, originally uploaded by staarkidd.

Yes, after 7 long years, I have mustered my strength and visited the eye doctor. My last exam ended in a fuss of drama as i awoke in an empty room feeling nausea. The doctor had fled and called an ambulance because he thought i had died. Only yesturday did i discover that 1 or 2 people a year (per dr. office) will pass out during an eye exam.

This particular visit was very positive as my vision is 20/15 which is better than 20/20. And even better, i recieved these nifty glasses to wear around for the rest of the day. Yes, I know. Babe glasses, right?

Orange eyes!

If you look deep into my eyes and you will see that they are not blue, but orange. While gazing with a brute white light into my eye, she delighted me with the news that my retinas are very bright orange. Apparently, extra pigmentation can result in a brighter color without effecting how the eye works. Being my favorite color, glowing orange, I have to say that this has overriden my sock collection as my new favorite personal featue.

Coffin Racing

coffin Racing, originally uploaded by staarkidd.

Sub-urban legend has it that the coffin of Emma Crawford's zipped down the streets of Manitou after a heavy rainstorm loosened it from it's not-so-final resting place higher up the mountain. Each year the citizen's of Manitou celebrate this phenomena by hosting a Halloween coffin race. Jeramy, Eric, Amanda, Heather and I joined the celebration by rooting for the fat guy on a bed of nails. Perhaps we will have our own coffin next year.

Kid's Games

I think our camera scared all the kids away, or was it Heather's Pink Boa?

Out of Order

Heather, Amanda and I crammed into an old photo booth on Manitou's "Penny Lane". Many of the old nickle and dime games are still working, including the peep show, but the only pictures we got from this booth were from Jeramy's camera.
