사은아 (sauna )

t and i spent the day together.. naked. a few weeks ago, the koreans at the korean market gave us a heads up about a new sauna opening in denver. and so today, we checked it out and it is AMAZING! We were the only white folk there and no one really spoke english, so it felt as if we had truly left colorado. These pics are not the real deal but the closest representations i could find online.
In the main sauna, there were three pools (really hot, hot with jets and really really cold) and then 2 steam rooms. The korean ladies were nice enough to smack us on the but (several times) and lead us through the maze of pools and steam rooms, before scrubbing us down for an hour.
After the pampering, we discovered the jimjilbang 찜질방. These are a series of sweat-rooms with different scents, temperatures and rocks. after you put on the "gown" (shorts and tee) you lay down on the hot bamboo mats and use a wood block for a pillow. They are amazingly comfortable and refreshing. T and i have decided to go once a month and are looking for other girls to get naked with us.

T and i also discovered a really great korean restaurant near the sauna as well as a market that sold really great redbean paste ice-cream fish (shaped, not flavored) sandwiches. when you take pictures in korea, instead of saying "cheese" you say "kimchi!".
