Sometimes it is the smallest, unnoticable things in life that can induce the greatest havoc . In my case, it was a miniscule chink in the slender plastic tube that drains the freezer. I couldn't even see the stream of water, but certainly felt it blitzing against my hand. A little electrical tape stopped the stream but did not plug the leak. Within a few minutes, a tea cup was nearly half full with water. Although I am happy to now know where the damage is coming from and glad i don't have broken pipes, I can't express the frustration of having been beat by such a trivial object.
Moral to this saga? Open to suggestions...
